| With a 3.05 m solid 1pce alum. dish of AMS Canada, with Invacom 0.3 C120 LNB and Panasonic TU-DSB 30 all the BBC's ITV1 Disney etc are ok from 07.00 to21.00 , 21.00 to22.00 some breaking but watchable.From22.00 to03.00 are also OK. From .03.00 to 07.00 the signal is very poor. with more breaking . With 3.1 m dish (2.4m with panels 3.1m) for Nicosia you have to install an Invacom C12 0.3db Quad to have the BBC, but still the reception is not as good as with the 3.05 m 1 peice dish . The BBC and ITV are OK for less time. From 11.00 to03.00 with some breaking from 21.00 t0 22.00 and then OK from 22.00 to 03.00. However if the installation is near a microwave link the problem is more severe, you could have 5 hours per day or less reception time. |

| Here, the reception is worst a 3.7 m dish solid 2pce or 4pce is needed to have 24h a day BBC's ITV ,Disney etc. The same applies for the whole Island , a 3..7m dish is ideal to have 24h per day reception of all the BBC's, ITV 1, Disney, Hallmark etc. |
| I wish to point out that with a 3.7 dish even a strong 0.6 db max can do the job as well as the old Cambridge 0.7dB type, but the MTI , Sharp 0.6dB are very weak ones and can not be used with smaller dishes. We are replacing all installations having the MTI , SHARP, etc with the Strong 0.6 db max or even for better results with Invacom 0.3dB single type or much better with quad 0.3 db, of course, the always digibox MUST always be a Panasonic model 20 or 30. 40 or 45 all others very weak tuners i.e. their threshold is very high. At your disposal for any further info to help sat enthusiasts. |

| TheDish is mounted at ground level. BBC London (BBC England) 1:00pm - 6:00pm fine, ITV1 (HTV & Wales) 1:00pm - 6:00pm watchable, breaks up a little. Results as expected considering similar installation report from Limassol slightly better. The further away form Paphos the weaker the signal it appears.I also tried a Eurostar 0.5DB twin output LNB which was much worse.3.6M dish would probably do it in my opinion! Interesting point: SKY+ box performed much much better than Humax 5400 on BBC! |

| Amstrad DRX100 giving slightly better signal than the Pace running Sky World, no 2D but some Channel 4 during the early evening - disappears at about 10pm BST. Most Sports Channels all day (on Southern Beams) and some Movies Channels. E4 is tuned separately to the 28.5 Bird. |

| I have installed more than one (2.5 X 2.7) Russian offset dish using a 0.3db INVACOM (this LNB works the best for me) offset lnb in the Pafos and surrounding areas. The result is BBC1/BBC2/Central/Granada/CH4/CH5 problems with channels 118/301/302/303 and ofcourse no ITV2. I used a Horizon meter do align using my own dedicated transponder list. The digiboxes ranged from the old Grundig to the Pace all picked well. The first 3 channels can be lost if weather is bad heavy mist or rain. |

| It was possible to get almost perfect reception of BBC1, BBC2 and ITV using the Pace during the afternoon (but not with the Panasonic). Pictures and sound broke up in the evening. I was not able to adjust dish alignment as I didn't have a big enough spanner. I expect that mucking about with the dish alignment might have improved matters a little but really a bigger dish is needed for 24hr reception. The Pacebox was head and shoulders above the Panasonic for the 2D channels. |
| Bypassing the switch and connecting the LNB Low band vertical output directly to the receiver did not improve reception. This combination of Invercom quattro and switch seems to work at least as well as the Invercom quad judging from the other reports I've read.. Useful if you need more than 4 outputs! |
| I tried a quattro and switch on an existing dish as there are more than 4 villas that want access to it. Using the existing Strong LNB there was no reception of BBC or ITV with either box.. |

| Just thought you might like to know that a 2.4 Famaval prime focus dish,invacom 0.3 quad lnb and adjustable feed horn with pan 30 gave good 2d reception of horizontal channels up to about 7pm . Due to a problem in Cyprus (Paphos area) with the receiver locking up on a regular basis(problem only confined to Panasonic 30 in weak areas) I changed to pace minibox which gives 24hr viewing on all above channels. Dish was aligned with Roversat sda 5n meter. |

| ALL seven horizontal transponders on 2D received 24 hours & not affected from weather easily. (ITV & regions/BBC/Disney/RTE, etc..) Note: The following listed boxes tested OK on same setup. Panasonic DSB30, Panasonic DSB45 and Grundig 3000 (silver). |
